What Matters Most

Money, Fame and Fortune

Life is unbearable without them

Relationships will stall and progress hindered

We all desire it, many would even kill for it

Still the bible states that

"Money is the root of all evil"

How can this "root of all evil" save lives

Through technology and medical advancements

bring laughter and bliss and make life bearable

no matter the present condition or disability

Why does this same "root of all evil"

Serve as a generally accepted determinant of success

A criteria for judging worth and achievement and command of respect

Is it termed the "root of all evil" because

It can make a humble one to arrogant?

Make a loyal being to become disloyal?

Or turn a democrat into a tyrant?

I believe that what makes money good or evil

Is not the cash itself

It is the disposition of the owner of the wealth and

The manner in which it was acquired

I have seen the high and mighty crumble

Witnessed highly influential people become of no value

Therefore I believe that money, class and virtue, integrity

Are different criteria by which life's worth can be equated

Of these 3, Money is the most volatile and highly vain criterion

As much as we desire riches

Virtue, integrity and class is more desirable cos

Riches can fade but virtue, integrity and class endures

Money can buy you fame but

It can never get you virtue, integrity and class and these are
