The naivety of the human mind

Thinking about life and examining my past
I can't help but laff
Isn't it amazing how we pray to God for something
And when our prayer is answered
Our mind wants something else
So much that we allow our wants to
Water down the relevance of our needs

God might give you the perfect spouse
And you mess it up cos of things that matters less
Things like
Complexion, Physique and material possession
-Trust me friends
I have seen wealthy men become beggars
And beggars elevated to affluence-
And guys -as pathetic as we are-
Will lose a virtuous, loving and dedicated spouse for
"a bigger ass", "larger boobs", and "a pretty face"

Friends
Nothing endures forever
Soon there would be nothing left of the big ass
the perfect body, the fat bank account and
the 6-pack you fell in love with will soon become
one, big, rounded pack,
Protruding from below the chest to the waist line.

Fellows
Though human is not perfect,
It is foolishness to lose an 80% perfect being for
An 80% imperfect one. Be guided!
God might send you a perfect gift and you lose it
Because the package is not attractive
But think about this
No matter how attractive a package is
It cannot be more valuable that the item it encloses
But we seem not to understand this because of

The naivety of the human mind

how to avoid being scammed by online ads

Every platform is being hijacked by scammers to perpetrate crime.
Platforms like www.olx.com.ng, www.google.com.ng/local/trader etc has been used for these feats
I am sharing this tips cos of the numerous complaints we have received over the few weeks

TIPS FOR EFFECTIVE ONLINE SHOPPING
1. DONT BE GREEDY

If you see a "too good to be true offer" it is definitely "not true"
No one will sell his used Samsung Galaxy S3 for 15k
or an Iphone 6 for 30k

2.            DO NOT BE IN A HASTE

Even when you see a good deal compare with the other deals you have. Conduct a research about the seller. Ask for things like his Facebook Profile, twitter handle or Linkedln link. If it is a company ask for their official, customized domain mail account e.g info@elpinaplaza.com and transact all business using that.

3.            KEEP OFFICIAL MATTERS OFFICIAL

If you are dealing with a company, always ask for the company's account info for all payment. Never make payment into a personal account while it appears you are dealing with a company.

4.            ESTABLISH FACE TO FACE CONTACT

In the situation where you are dealing with an individual, seek to establish a face to face contact so you can assess the goods you intend to purchase

5.            BE ANALYTICAL

i.              Never agree to make deposit for delivery when the goods is not seen.
ii.             Never accept to pay a virtual individual for goods till you have a contact and you have the goods in your hands
iii.            When the individual claims to own an outfit and does not have a company account or website, request to pick up the goods yourself

6. Always shop for products on the company's online store eg jumia.com.ng, elpinaplaza.com, taafoo.com.ng etc.
Never make payments for a goods just bcos the fellow claims to work in a company that is well known to you.

these tips will be updated as the need arise.

Think Right, Act Right

It amazes me to see how much
we have eluded ourselves of certain truths
So much that take fun out of living
I am perplexed when I see people go around
complaining bout how much their life would be better
if they had a spouse
Some are quick to complain
bout how badly everyone treats them
No matter the group you fall into
Please take your time and read this post
Ponder on them and share your views

For those who think they are treated unfairly
Make no mistake about this truth
People are programmed to treat you unfairly
Believe it or leave it
It takes One a true friend or
secondly, a refined mind to treat you differently
So expecting everyone to treat you fairly
is the number one recipe for depression
My question is this
Must you always rely on people?
Do you not have the capacity to rely on yourself?
Why would you expect so much from others
to the extent that you get devastated
when they behave otherwise?
Even the bible declares that
"it is better to trust in  the Lord than to put confidence in man"
Jeremiah declares that "Cursed is the man who trusts in man"
Friends instead of putting your trust in flesh and blood
Trust God and believe in yourself
Treat yourself well
Cos it is an illusion to expect people
to treat you better than you treat yourself

For those who feel they need to be in a relationship to feel complete
I want to tell you a true life story I watched on "Trisha"
(Trisha is a program that is aired on Sony Entertainment TV every weekday")
There is this lady who was amputated at age 6
And she grew up been looked upon as a disabled
But she said that while in school she decided she will prove
The Doctors wrong cos she was told she can never give birth
Cos she was amputated from below the waist
She decided to live as normal as she can
And navigates using a customized skate board
she was living a normal, jolly life.
One day at the grocery store she met a guy
They talked for a while and later became close friends
According to the guy he was attracted to her cos
Despite her condition she was so positive minded
And was of a jolly disposition
Later they got married and she fulfilled her dream of
Defying the doctors report
She now has 2 kids
Amazingly her husband is not disabled in anyway
Ask yourself this question
If a lady who had no laps, no legs and
moves about on skate board Can condition her mind
to see beyond disability and live a normal life
(went to school, engaged in sports and kept friends)
What excuse do you think you have?
You who is whole, hale and hearty
And you think you are disabled cos you don't have a spouse
Such that you go about with bitterness and anger

Know this
Nothing can take the place of self development
Consciously develop your mind and think differently
You cannot continuously feed your mind with junk
and expect your body not to feel like a waste dump
No matter how pretty you are
You will repulse eligible spouse with your bitterness and anger
It doesn't matter how much your wig,
perfume, clothes or accessories cost
If you feel like shit internally, it will reflect outwardly

Your life will be better if and only if your mind is right
Feed your mind with the right thoughts
Only then will your poise be on point
And you will attract not just every Tom, Dick and Harry
But the right kind of friends and ultimately
The spouse you so desire

Think Right, Act Right.
