The Right Attitude

It's said that "Your Attitude Determine Your Altitude"
This is a fact and truth as old as time itself
So much have been said about "Having The Right Attitude During Trying Times"
But
Have you asked yourself
What is the right attitude when breakthrough comes?
What disposition is acceptable to God? And
Why some people only experience a "once in a lifetime breakthrough"?

Ponder on this
You, as a parent, bought your son a posh ride as his 18th birthday Gift
Because he has been an outstanding child
And almost immediately, he deviates from the good path
Clubbing and keeping late nights with a lousy disposition
What will you do?
I would either retrieve the car or
Ensure that the car is the last extravagant gift he gets from me in his lifetime.
If i would behave that way, how do you think God feels when he blesses you and
You, in sharing your testimony, makes it as self gratifying as you can
To whom are you giving the glory for breakthrough experienced?
Yourself? Your Denomination/Church? Your Pastor? Your Qualifications, Training, skill or effort?

Then when the blessings vanish from your hands
You turn around and blame everyone around you
Not knowing that in your jubilating mood, you shot yourself in the foot
(Read the story of Nebuchadnezzar - Daniel 4)
Some even mock others in their testimony
But
The group that give me the creeps is
Those who want the victory without the battle
Desire the end product but dread the process
Sounds crazy right?

Have you not seen one who
Celebrates his admission but complains about Lectures, assignments and exams?
Celebrates his promotion/new job but complain of workload?
Celebrates and Thanks God for his wedding but lusts after everything in skirt?
Joyful about getting pregnant, after years of praying & fasting but
complains about the stages of pregnancy and pain of labour?
I believe that your true perception of something shows when it is not convenient
Therefore,
You cannot appreciate something so much that you despise it the very next moment
Be so grateful about something one moment and complain about it at the next
Every gift from God is perfect and adds NO SORROW
Therefore, sorrowing about God's gift is telling him that
you perceive it to be a punishment, obstacle or challenge but definitely not a gift!

Anticipating the end product, while accepting, appreciating and enduring the process,
Giving glory to GOD ALONE in recognition that all other efforts are futile and
Humility, moderation and consideration for those in their waiting period
while celebrating your breakthrough is the right attitude
and can only position you for greater feats in Life.

The future is brighter than whatever light you are seeing now
Don’t cast darkness over yours through your attitude
when your breakthrough comes
