Hold On

Our minds easily gets overwhelmed

Expectations failed, relationship lost,

Cares and worries increases exponentially,

Friends evaporates and succour not found

Relief sought from tears,

The heart weeps while the eyes remain dry

With strength and vigour depleted

Praying becomes an herculean task

Logical reasoning eluded and

Hope vanished.

At this point

Fate seems to be winning against Faith,

Light gives way to darkness

Evil seems stronger than good

With reason for living lost and happiness void

Thoughts of suicide becomes a daily companion.

Whatever point you are today

Know this

Life's cares are not meant to overcome us

Storms are not designed to swallow us

We cannot make a meaning out of all that we encounter

In fact the ability to fully understand life isn't given to us

So if up till now your focus, thoughts and analysis

Has not improved your situation in anyway

I believe it's time to change focus and re-strategize.

God might plan to bring us, through trials,

to our place of announcement and

We miss it cos

We gave up just few steps from limelight

I understand that you have

a thousand and one reasons to throw in the towel

it might even be the only reasonable thing to do

But take a moment and think about this

If giving up will not resolve whatever you are facing

How then is it the only option?

Believe this

The future is brighter, it always is

if only you can keep the faith
